Working through Covid-19 ft an engine swap

Well, who saw this coming?!

Firstly, Andy & I would like to thank you all for your patience over these past few weeks. Due to our office staff being furloughed we haven’t been the quickest at responding to emails and social media messages and we apologise for that.

Our multi drop drivers are running around like it’s December and the demand for our garden waste collection service has gone through the roof. While we are so grateful to still be operating the pressure on our staff is high just now. I think the pressure on our bucket motor got too much a couple of weeks ago and it decided it wanted a new engine one morning it was headed out to do one of our busiest runs. A few days and a few thousand pounds later and it was back on the road just in time for national gardening week. Oh the joys of working in the transport industry!

We start garden waste collections in our new areas next week which include Selkirk, Clovenfords, Galashiels, Melrose, Tweedbank, Earlston, Lauder & Stow.

We’ve got a couple of extra vans on the road to accommodate the change in delivery days for our flower suppliers in Holland. We’re up and down the country four days a week at the moment making sure fresh flowers, plants and all the other random things florists order get to them quickly so they can continue to operate too.

With scenery like this, the flower delivery lads have it easy!

As always, thank you all for your support & custom. We hope you’re all keeping safe & sane during lock down and we’ll hopefully be able to stop on our travels for a blether again soon.

Cheers,

Robert
