Cavalry Transport & Courier Services was established in 2011 by Andrew Macnab & Robert Sloan. Since then we have grown and diversified the business to offer a range of services including removals & storage solutions in Edinburgh, the Lothians and Scottish Borders, nationwide courier services and garden waste collection in the Scottish Borders.

We started the business with just one Ford Transit van and bought one franchise within a well known multi-drop courier company. From there we purchased further franchises, added several more vans into this sector and employed local people to fill these positions.

While the multi-drop side of the business took off and was running smoothly we began to look at ways in which to expand the business within the transport industry. Home and office removals were something we were keen to provide for people in and around our area as we had the vehicles and men for the job already. This took off almost immediately and has become one of the parts of the business we enjoy the most.

In 2014 the Scottish Borders Council stopped collecting garden waste with little notice for the households they collected from. We bought two garden waste collection vehicles and added this to the services we offer. We provide the same fortnightly collection service at a minimal cost to individual households. We currently offer this service throughout the majority of the Scottish Borders.
